Nutrition Information

Muscle Fuel® helps to develop muscle mass and support muscle recovery and lactic acid recycling which is particularly useful for performance horses. This effective formulation includes ProEquitin®, a unique blend of amino acids which have been scientifically proven to limit exercise induced muscle damage, aid muscle recovery post exercise and support protein synthesis and reduce protein breakdown as well as help glycogen uptake and storage.

Brewer’s Yeast provides naturally occurring B vitamins to aid energy metabolism. This prebiotic also encourages digestive efficiency and improves absorption of the important amino acids in the diet. Brewer’s Yeast therefore optimises nutrient utilisation, hindgut health and body condition.

Muscles require glycogen for energy metabolism and Muscle Fuel® provides Dextrose which increases the rate of post exercise muscle glycogen synthesis.

1 level (50ml) scoop of Muscle Fuel® weighs approximately 35g

 

Muscle Fuel® is safe to feed long term at the recommend feeding rates. Introduce gradually to your horse’s diet, splitting between feeds (when applicable).

We recommend that you feed half of the daily feeding rate of Muscle Fuel® within 45 minutes post-exercise each day, after the horse has had time to cool down, for optimal effect.

By providing smaller more frequent meals, this will help enhance absorption of nutrients in the small intestine. The higher the absorption rate of amino acids, the higher the contribution to the horse’s amino acid pool for tissue synthesis.

We also recommend feeding Feedmark's Replenish™ alongside Muscle Fuel® to aid muscle recovery from exercise.

Muscle Fuel® is a complementary feeding stuff for equine animals. Feedmark uses nothing in the formulation of this product that contravenes competition rules.

Feed supplements should be fed according to body weight.
